Dear 13year old Babs,
You are far too insecure and shy! Everyone, and yes I do mean EVERYONE your age feels as insecure about their bodies as you do! Being flat chested is something you will just have to learn to love. No matter how much you wish for a full chest, its just not going to happen! Surgery is an option, but more important is to learn how to love the body you have been given.
It does suck to have gotten your period for the very first time while at girl scout camp. Thank goodness for friends that had already crossed that bridge and came prepared! Think of it this way, at least you were at a camp with a bunch of girls versus a co-ed one! Relax. Its really not that bad and NOBODY can tell its *that special time of the month* other than you.
You are a great person and should not settle for less..ever. Do not let others take advantage of you or talk down to you.
Listen to that little voice, it will not steer you wrong!

Oh the joys of becoming a "woman". That was hilarious. I remember my insecurity when I was younger, being a girl blows donkey balls! Great letter and you do deserve the best. Always have, always will.
I loved this idea. Unfortunately my 13 yr old self was a motherless daughter and I am not sure the world is ready to hear her. I did create a piece of art which will contain a letter to me from me. I will show you when I finish. Thanks for sharing your letter. I could have wrote that yesterday. HAHA!
Great letter! FWIW some guys don't care about a girl's boob size. Or so I've heard. I can't believe you got your first period at camp. That must have really sucked at the time, but I like how you think about it now.
I'll start thinking about this one. Jeez, I could probably write a book to my 13 y.o. self!
